If anyone wishes to be a little conceited and talk about themselves, here's a fine place to do it.

About me: My name is George Willson, and I am a writer. I have stuff posted all over the internet and write not only whatever I want to write, but I currently write for small indie filmmakers who have an idea and want a script.

For myself, I have written multiple screenplays (if you want a count, they're all on this board) as well as episodes for a TV series I have created. I have (at this time) written one complete screenplay that was filmed, and I have in the works two others that you can read about elsewhere.

I always have ideas for stories to write, and I have two screenplays that are in a first draft state requiring revision before I consider them done.

I have also become somewhat of a dramaturge, frequenting the www.simplyscripts.com discussion board and reviewing screenplays for whomever wishes to ask. This is a boast, but people do tend to like my reviews.

Right now, I am only paid with a credit and a copy. I hope that through what I am doing now, payment will come as I have things to show for myself and build a reputation for myself. That being said, if you have an idea you want to film and need someone to write the screenplay, my credits are all over this board, and I'm probably available. Feel free to email or PM.

I created this board for selfish reasons, but I don't mind sharing if anyone has the desire to ask. Enjoy the board and feel free to leave a scathing review; they're the most useful as long as you explain why it was so bad.

Hey, it's another Jim Steinman fan who liked your religious service skit with his titles, and is currently a big fan of his relatively new song, "The Future Ain't What It Used To Be," soon to be used in a low-budget remake of RENT.

Oh wow. That was a long time ago, but I remember that skit. It was a lot of fun. So, I'm assuming you were part of the mailing list back then?

And I remember that song from the Pandora's Box album of 1989. It was the longest song of the album and really quite good. If it was recently re-released, then it's about time.

Well, not exactly. Jim's currently formed a bigger band called The Dream Engine, with vocalists Rob Evan, Adrienne Warren, Elaine Caswell, and Neal Coomer, and a backing group led by Steven Margoshes. This song is the centerpiece, as their shows of late have taken an anti-war slant.

The Dream Engine, huh... That man needs a new idea. I still have my cast recording for The Dream Engine from 1969 (?). It contains a lot of very familiar music.

The only name I recognize is Steven Margoshes, and I can't remember from where... I'm guessing he found himself some fresh meat?

The band was originally called Over the Top, but the name was abandoned in late 2005. Their current show is very anti-war and political in nature.

Anti-war and political...that's not much fun entertainment-wise, in my opinion. Obviously, it has to do with the current climate in the US, but why do that to the music? Seems like a waste. Sometimes, these anti-war activitist types seem to imply we like being at war.
