I had a long conversation with Mike Lynn in California. He had previously shown an interest in the Soul Keeper, and last August, I made extensive changes to the original script.
Well, after our most recent conversation, we both came to the same conclusion about the script. The premise is good. The town is good. The current story is not so good. Therefore, keeping the original premise, I am going to scrap the current story and script and start over. I have been brainstorming about a hundred different scenes and ways to go about reworking this, and I am getting somewhere on it.
I plan to lock down a solid storyline by the end of the month. I am going to take my time on this, since the thought is out there that the story outline alone could possibly be pitched and financed before I ever complete the actual script.
Pretty cool, I think.
